Our new seasonal Colombian coffee has arrived in store!

Expect notes of green apple, pear, and caramel, with a hint of liquorice.

Fresh from our roastery, this Colombian single origin coffee is produced in the Antioquia region in the municipality of Salgar. Sourced from one of largest and most technologically advanced coffee operations in the country with full traceability from farm to export, it’s great to work with a company who is committed to ensuring they have high environmental and social standards. And the coffee is Rainforest Alliance certified.

  • The farm is constantly growing new coffee trees in their nursery and replanting them.
  • They’ve planted 26,650 non-coffee trees.
  • 55% of the watershed are actively managed.
  • 153 hectares have been designated as preserved forest.
  • 8 million coffee trees are on converted pastureland.
  • There are equal opportunities for women. 27% of workers are women from operations to management roles.
  • Full benefits exist for all workers including a pension.
  • They offer employment programs for single mothers in the community.

The Colombian bean interesting facts

Grown in Salgar in altitudes ranging from 1300 to 1700m, the coffee bean is fully washed before being dried, packaged and sent to our roastery in the UK.

This medium roast coffee has a smoother taste versus our house blend, and you can expect notes of green apple, pear, and caramel, with a hint of liquorice; perfect with or without milk.
