We all love a good day out. And it’s even better when the sun shines and there is coffee involved! So imagine our delight when our tickets for the London Coffee Festival arrived in the post.
Widely regarded at one of the world’s best coffee festivals in the World, the London Coffee Festival features a host of events and talks including coffee masters, home barista workshops, live latte art and an ultimate flavour challenge.
We were equally excited to be invited to create a signature drink especially for the Festival. Our recent latte art winners and Academy trainer Liina jumped at the opportunity and collectively created ‘Cloud 90’ – a tribute to the coffee farm where the Las Nubes (‘the clouds’) beans were sourced, and to celebrate the 90th birthday of espresso machine manufacturer La Marzocco.
Liina added: “It was the first time we had done something alcoholic and it went down really well.”
Being amongst other passionate and coffee gurus, was very inspiring for the team who attended, and they’ve come away with lots of ideas. Chatting to attendees at the Festival, it was also nice to see the growing reputation of Coffee#1 among industry experts and coffee lovers.

“It was a great chance to show off Coffee#1 to a wider audience, as well as seeing what everyone else in the industry is doing. There is always something new and exciting going on in the coffee industry and we left with plenty of ideas to bring back to HQ”.
