Hooray for World Fair Trade Day!
Today, 14 May 2011, millions of people involved in the coffee industry – from small farmers to traders and consumers across the globe – will celebrate World Fair Trade Day 2011!
The spirit of the whole occasion is to raise awareness and support for a fair and sustainable economy locally and globally, and help provide sustainable livelihoods and development opportunities to small producers.
Coffee #1 has ventured across the globe to meet the farmers who produce the beans that comprise our unique blend. So we have peace of mind that we’re making them a fair deal.
This means that those little coffee beans benefit everyone they meet on their travels – from farmer to coffee drinker! Coffee with a conscience means each bean is a happy one and carries it’s own good vibes so we can all sleep at night – as long as we’ve not have had too much caffeine!
