Our team play a starring role in Coffee#1 and we certainly count our lucky stars that we have such a wonderful bunch of people working for us. Without them, we would struggle to get out of bed!
We show our appreciation in different ways.
Nancy, our fabulous coffee trainer, has just returned from Costa Rica and Panama. She’s worked so hard over the past 12 months that we felt she deserved a nice break to learn more about our wonderful coffee growers, so she has been lucky enough to sample first-hand the remarkable sun-dried coffees at the world renowned Finca Don Pepe and Finca Kotowa Duncan Organic to develop her passion even further.
Then we decided to send Gemma, our infectiously friendly Monmouth manageress, to Laguna Beach, California. She has been working her socks off. Not content with just running a great shop, she recently raised lots of valuable monies for St David’s Hospice.
Oh, and Maria, store manageress in Chepstow. When she suggested she might move back to Italy the customers started a petition. She has won the Coffee#1 Mystery Shopper a record three times – and picked up a record number of bonuses along the way.
And last, but by no means least, there is Jo, our Ops Manager. She moves around all the stores with boundless energy. She has mastered the art of multi-tasking.
So we bought her a new Mini and sent her on a trip to Nice. Nice.
