We were thrilled to bits to open our brand spanking new store in Exeter’s Princesshay shopping centre this week! After weeks spent crashing and banging around and painting pretty pictures on the walls, the store was finally ready to be unveiled to the fine city folk of Exeter on Wed 18 Jan.

We’re delighted to delve deep into the heart of the West Country with our ethical, organic Arabica coffee, comfy leather armchairs, reclaimed furniture and a spoonful of warm rustic charm.

We’re feeling at home in Exeter already, it’s a friendly city and we hope our new store will provide a restful retreat amidst the busy city centre, and a pit-stop for those grabbing a dose of quality caffeine on the go.

This marks our sixteenth coffee house. The first ever Coffee#1 opened in Cardiff, just over ten years ago, and we have been serving the coffee-loving citizens of Wales and South West England ever since, gaining a BSA award and winning the Cafe Society’s Best UK Coffee Chain two years running. Over the years, we’ve earned ourselves a reputation as the coffee purists’ coffee house – loved for our friendly, skilled baristas, artisan coffee and welcoming atmosphere.

We’ve taken on and trained up six keen baristas from the local area, and we look forward to settling into the community.

We have incorporated a big ‘Community Table’ into this store, as a place for coffee-lovers to converse, local gossip to be shared and new friendships to be made.

So pop in to warm up a wintery morning with porridge, buttery teacakes and breakfast baps… a steamy slice of apple pie in the afternoon… and protect, boost and cleanse your body with our freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable ‘Super Juices’.
