This Sunday 19th June we’re celebrating all the great Dads out there! Or whoever’s been a father figure in your life… maybe your big bro, uncle, step-dad or grandpa…?

We all know Dads can be pretty embarrassing… even Dads know it themselves! They take great glee in winding us up –

If it’s not their ridiculous ‘Dad dancing’ at weddings, it’s their terrible dress sense that harks back to their younger years or calling us by embarrassing nicknames in front of our others!

But we love them anyway…

So let’s pay homage to embarrassing Dads everywhere by sharing some of our most cringe worthy Dad stories, rubbish Dad jokes and eccentricities…

“When my dad, my brother and I went on holiday once, Dad held up the whole flight arguing with the flight folk on the tarmac – refusing to get on the plane unless they let him take his guitar on board… When he finally boarded the plane (without his guitar), me and my brother sank low in our seats and pretended we didn’t know him!”
